Since our beginning in 1983 with $10,000, the Foundation has had a mission to direct financial capital to make our community a great place to live, work and give. We are pleased to have continued our impact on Topeka and Shawnee County for 38 years and are excited to share with you the following Foundation highlights from 2021:

Financial Strength: With contributions of more than $9 million and an investment return of 19.8%, the Foundation reached the milestone of having $100 million under management. We are equally proud that we have granted $100 million back into our community since our beginning in 1983.

Community Impact: We continued learning and leading through our social determinants of health grant making. This upstream look at systems, policies and environments impacting issues like education, access and community development will continue being a priority for us.

Total Grants: $5,990,749

Donor Services: Donor Services: 20 new funds were established at the Foundation in 2021 – each with its own charitable purpose. We also launched a new platform that will facilitate an exceptional on-line experience for all donors.

In 2022, you can expect progress updates from us on:

  • Impact Investing: Investing locally for both a financial and social return.

  • Donor Services: Enhancing the donor experience by hiring a Director of Philanthropy.

  • Leadership: Leveraging our leadership to ensure Topeka continues to be a great place to live, work and give.

Happy 2022 From the TCF Team
