Topeka Community Foundation to Honor Scholarship Recipients and Donors at Annual Reception
The Topeka Community Foundation will honor the recipients of more than 100 scholarships at its annual reception on Thursday. This year, students from across Shawnee County submitted a record number of scholarship applications. Collectively, the 2026 winners will receive $205,500 to put toward their educational goals. To date, this is the largest total amount awarded through Topeka Community Foundation scholarships.
“The scholarship reception is an opportunity to uplift and recognize the students’ achievements while honoring the donors who invest in our community’s future through scholarship funds,” said Marsha Pope, President of the Topeka Community Foundation. “We use this opportunity to connect our scholarship donors with the recipients and highlight the stories behind each scholarship.
The scholarship reception will be held on Thursday, April 16, at the Topeka Country Club. Donors, student recipients, and their families will attend the celebration. Refreshments will be served from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m., with the program scheduled from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
The Topeka Community Foundation, with more than $130 million in assets, manages more than 400 separate funds, including scholarship funds, for individuals, businesses and charitable organizations.
